Meet Sara

My life is driven by a deep curiosity about the human experience and a quest for meaning. My multicultural background and neurodivergent perspective shape my worldview. As the eldest daughter of Iranian parents, I was born in Dallas, Texas, raised in Orange County, California, and gained my nursing doctorate degree in Boston, Massachusetts. My roots have never been firmly grounded; instead, I always felt grounded in movement.

My clinical experience encompasses care across the lifespan, from pediatrics to end-of-life care, while also deeply exploring family, social, and trauma dynamics. After experiencing my own personal, professional, physical, and emotional burnout, I made the radical decision to shift to teaching online nursing academics while exploring the globe for alternative medicine and indigenous healing practices.

Tonic Tantra evolved from my own healing process. As a nomadic storyteller, my work is shaped by what I’ve studied and survived as someone who lives with autoimmune disorders and chronic pain. This space is a record of my alchemy – where everything I’ve lived comes together – what I’ve learned as a patient, as a healthcare practitioner, and as a human figuring it out in real time. Now, it’s the container I work within to help people reconnect with themselves in a way that’s honest, embodied, and personalized.

As an act of personal devotion to the Tantric lens, creating this space continuously teaches me about myself, the world, how energetic systems work, how to stay awake to what’s real, how to soften without collapsing, and how to lead without losing myself. I continue to practice myself, always as a student and a seeker, and as a muse and a mentor, in essence, a Tantrika.

As a healer, I have evolved into an advocate for equitable care, cultural intelligence, and holistic approaches that value both science and tradition. This space reflects 20 years and 50+ countries of knowledge in Western medicine and Eastern philosophy, emphasizing our shared cosmic connection.
